NewBlackCity.Com is the creation of a unique internet-only
"radio" station, programmed by Onion Horton and Mark Kasen and directed essentially at the Black community.
The plan
is to move the internet-only programming to an a.m. radio frequency and proceed from there. NewBlackCity strives to be different
in that it uses multiple hosts, both liberal and conservative.
The overall goal is to educate, agitate, entertain
and inspire. We hope to impact our neighborhoods as well as the global community. We intend to deliver a mix of independent
news, talk, and entertainment, at times interspersed with a community forum.
In time we hope to make history as we
make the transition to bringing excellence in talk radio to the regular broadcast media.

John A. Bordeaux, Sr., 56, is a native St. Louisan and businessman.
He owned Freewheelin Bikes, which was located in the University City Loop for 18 years. He is president and CEO of
Derae Development, which specializes in insurance restoration.
Mr. Bordeaux has been active in his community since
his early twenties when he developed economic programs through HDC, the anti Poverty program in St. Louis, Missouri, and coached
youth in both track and football. Mr. Bordeaux has always been progressive in his thinking and approach to the problems
and opportunities facing St. Louis. He believes that inclusion, access and cooperative effort are the keys to empowering
and advancing our community.
Mr. Bordeaux served as president of the University City Sports Association, and was one
of the founders of the University City Loop Business Association and the University City Triathlon.
Mr. Bordeaux
is a past President of the NAACP, St. Louis Branch and was a candidate for President of the NAACP Missouri State Conference
of Branches.
Mr. Bordeaux is a partner in ABS Consultants (Ali, Bordeaux Solutions), which monitors HUD (U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development) Section III programs in the St. Louis area. Section III is charged with hiring indigenous
people to work in any HUD project over $200,000.00. Monitoring involves tracking and assessing progress, as well as adherence
to guidelines of the Welfare to Work, Empowerment Zone, Enterprise Zones, State Economic Development Initiatives, Environmental
Protection Agency, American Community Renewal Act, Historically Under-Utilized Business Zones, and Asbestos and Lead Paint
Abatement under HUD. ABS Consultants also provides Economic Opportunities Assessment. EOA is an economic development operation
that monitors, evaluates and advocates actions to assure that unemployed and underemployed gain access, as intended, to modified
programs and projects aimed at social and economic community enrichment.
Mr. Bordeaux is the Executive Director
of the Model Housing and Economic Development Corporation. Its mission is to stimulate economic and community development
that will enhance the quality of life in St Louis Metropolitan neighborhoods. Model Housing and Economic Development
Corporations purpose is to promote and increase economic development through quality housing, employment, business opportunities,
commercial development, and improved education, which will foster a safe and sustainable environment for urban communities.
Model
Housing CDC is comprised of a Board of Directors, whose members include neighborhood leaders, businessmen and women, educators,
and corporate and civic leaders. Volunteers from all facets of this community serve on the Model Housing Board of Directors,
which creates a comprehensive and stable governing body.
Mr. Bordeaux is married to Delores R. Lindsey Bordeaux.
He has two children and seven grandchildren.
